    •  The Glastonbury Senior Center was re-accredited by the National Institute of Senior Centers (NCOA/NICS) for the 5 year term ending in 2023. 1 of 120 Senior Centers nationwide to receive this prestigious designation.
  • Silver Certified Sustainable CT Community (2018-2021)
    • Sustainable CT selected Glastonbury as one of 5 communities in the state to receive the Silver level certification for their Sustainable Communities program. Glastonbury earned 495 points for achieving sustainable action items in over 10 diverse categories.   • Engineering Excellence Award recognized the roundabout projects along Hebron Avenue corridor.
    •  Among 6 projects selected by the Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies for this honor.
  • HEARTSafe Community (2019-2023)
  • Bronze-Level Bicycle Friendly Community for second consecutive term (2019-2023)
    • One of 475 communities recognized countrywide by the League of American Bicyclists for the 2019-2023 term.
  • Safest Cities in CT (2019, 2017)
  • South Glastonbury recognized for Solar Energy
  • Safest Cities to Raise a Child (2017)
    • SafeWise selected Glastonbury among the best cities in the U.S. who excel at creating safer environments for families. Supporting data included Glastonbury's award-winning, bicycle-friendly community, the Youth & Family Services program, and the abundance of well-maintained town parks.
  • Silver-Level Clean Energy Community (2015)
    • Recognized by Energize CT at the 2015 Awards ceremony for implementing energy-reducing and energy-saving initiatives community-wide that meet their 2nd highest tier of achievement.
  • Rated Among Top Places for First-Time Home Buyers (2016) - NerdWallet study analyzed factors such as housing costs, prosperity and safety of each community. 
  • Transportation ACE Award of Merit (2015)
    • CT Society of Civil Engineers' presented Glastonbury with this award for the Main Street Traffic
      Signal Project.
  • State of CT Power of Change Award (2013-2014)
    •  Received Top Honors for our water pollution control facility
  • Young Professional of the Year Award- CT Recreation & Park Association: (2014) - Awarded to Liz Gambacorta, Recreation Program Coordinator
  • New England Water Environment Association Waste-Water Utility Award (2013) 
    •  In recognition of Outstanding performance as a waste-water division in New England
  • Life Safety Achievement Award (2013) 
    •  Recognized Glastonbury's Fire Marshal's Office for outstanding efforts on behalf of fire and life safety
  • Outstanding Tree Warden of the Year - Tree Wardens Association of CT: (2013)
